“Man’s wish to encounter myths, the myth of the happy and protective nymphs, the myth of the siren enchantresses, and the tragic myth of Ophelia, runs from antiquity to Rimbaud.  These images are realised entirely in my studio.  The model reclines in water, surrounded by plants harvested from nature.  An artificial reservoir reproduces rain, while the camera, mounted 4 metres above the model, captures the images remotely.”
